Prospective TCU
Students Overview
Through generous gifts and grants, the Andrews
Institute in partnership with the College
of Education is able to offer exceptional education
for science and mathematics educators. Through the Teacher Education Emphasizing Math
and Science at TCU (TEEMS
at TCU) program, we recruit and educate teachers
at the baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral level.
These teachers help fill the need for qualified and
enthusiastic K-12 mathematics and science teachers;
provide leadership at the school, district and state
level in mathematics and science as lead teachers,
coordinators, and supervisors; and assume college faculty
positions with responsibilities in conducting research
and teaching future undergraduate science education
courses. Students may earn a Bachelors of Science (BS)
with teacher certification, a Masters of Education
(M.Ed.) in Science Education and a Doctorate (Ph.D.)
in Educational Studies: Science Education. |
